Oakland, California

Located only seven miles from San Francisco, The Port of Oakland serves the Bay Area and the Northern California area region for container transportation. Oakland is a deep water port with 50 feet of water in its channel and most berthing areas. With some of the largest Post Panamax and Super Post Panamax cranes in the world, the port is an efficient load port for many West Coast shippers.

Yusen Terminals LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK). YTI is located at the Port’s Oakland International Container Terminal, Berths 55-59. The facility is 270 acres with 6,000 linear feet of berthing space and includes 600 grounded reefer positions. It can handle in excess of 700,000 annual container lifts. The container terminal is also adjacent to both the Union Pacific Railyard and the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Rail yard for efficient access to inland destinations.
