Montréal

Welcome to Montréal, QC

Despite its location 1,600 km from the ocean, the Port of Montreal is the world's largest inland port & the gateway to North America's industrial heartland.

Montréal

The Port of Montréal is the premier gateway to North America’s industrial heartland. It is one of the busiest inland ports in the world and a key transfer point for transatlantic cargo. It was here that in 1963, Ceres began a general cargo operation for a large shipping consortium and became one of the largest stevedores in Montréal – an overnight success. In 1979, Ceres Terminals Canada became a container operator in Montréal. Four years later, Ceres and Logistec formed Termont Terminal. Since that time, Ceres has become a well-respected name within the maritime industry in Canada and is a leading stevedore and terminal operator in the Port of Montréal.
