Welcome to Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville was named for General Andrew Jackson, the first military governor of Florida who, incidentally, never visited Jacksonville. It is the largest city in the continental United States.

On March 1, 2022, Ceres acquired TraPac Container Terminal at Dames Point from Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd. (MOL). Ceres will operate the container terminal under a long-term lease with JAXPORT. While we integrate the terminal, TraPac will continue to have an independent website at jacksonville.trapac.com. The terminal contacts remain the same and you can always contact your regular Ceres contacts for more information. The Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) at Dames Point is managed day to day by Ceres Terminals Railroad Services. This facility is under a long-term agreement with Ceres and was built as part of JAXPORT’s investment in port terminal railroad infrastructure in Jacksonville, FL. The ICTF at Dames Point serves JAXPORT’s Northside terminals: The TraPac (Ceres) Container Terminal at Dames Point and the Blount Island Marine Terminal. The direct transfer of containers between vessels and trains speeds up the shipment process and reduces the number of trucks on the road.
