Ceres Terminals Canada is pleased to be named as one of the community partners providing staffing at the mass vaccination sites in Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health Authorities for the province’s launch of the Phase 3 Vaccination Plan. As mass vaccination sites open across the Lower Mainland, Ceres will be supporting the non-clinical staffing in five locations; including the Vancouver Convention Centre, which is one of the largest vaccination clinics in Vancouver, along with clinics in Delta, Burnaby, New Westminster, and North Vancouver. Some vaccination sites have already opened, and others will continue to open in the coming weeks.
“Our cruise industry continues to see a pause on operations; however, our partnership with our Health Authorities has allowed us to re-employ hundreds of employees from our cruise terminal, travel, and tourism partners who were facing another year of unemployment. These teams have now been re-deployed to support the staffing at the mass vaccination sites in our communities. These mass vaccinations will be key to opening our borders for our travel and tourism sectors when it is safe to do so. Supporting our community is extremely important to Ceres Terminals. The United Nations sustainability pillar of ‘Good Health and Well Being’ is one of our company’s three sustainability pillars and this initiative with the Province of BC aligns with our values. We are so excited to be providing jobs and supporting good health in our communities.” Kathy deLisser, Regional Vice-President, Ceres Terminals Canada.
